Egyptian Media Production City (EMPC) offers a 30% cash rebate to productions that shoot at its studios and backlots and use its facilities. Filmedia checks eligibility for your project and builds the rebate into the budget from day one.
What the 30% covers
The rebate is offered by Egyptian Media Production City, the studio complex west of Cairo that works with the Egypt Film Commission. It applies to productions that shoot within EMPC and use its facilities: studios, backlots, equipment and services.
EMPC says it is open to all types of production, including feature films, series, documentaries and programs. It is not an automatic rebate on every pound spent on location elsewhere in Egypt.
